This case study is focused on availability management and how it fits into service delivery and support. ITIL by definition is an entire library of best practices. Progressing through the case study, some ITIL processes are covered very lightly, primarily to illustrate the inter-relationship of all the process areas. This is done to focus on availability management, not discount the other process. Every ITIL process area needs to be addressed for a complete solution.
We started using DevOps (formally TFS), over the last two years, we have seen the many improvements, and we have tried to expand the use of the suite of tools as they have come along.
I created this document for my kids to help them at school. But I have been to a lot of meetings in the last several years and I am shocked at how many people especially the younger group cannot take notes. I hope people will find this useful. Please make suggestions for improvements to the doc.
